Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!
This immersive experience invites children to see how George’s curiosity drives him to explore the world and discover science, math, and engineering in fun, accessible, and engaging ways. Through a series of immersive zones that reflect his adventures in city life, farm life, and even space exploration, guests can follow along George’s adventures to experience curiosity-driven learning, blending education with playful discovery.
With activities that invite visitors to learn like Curious George does – through direct experience and problem solving – the exhibit lets children:
-
Operate wheels and pulleys to move Curious George in the Apartment Building. Then climb up the fire escape and experiment with color, light, and shadow.
-
Play three holes of Mini Golf and putt their way through physics and engineering lessons using pipes, ramps, and funnels.
-
Jump aboard the Space Rocket that Curious George took on his Outer Space Adventure and pose for a photo. Then slide down to the control center where you can email your picture back home.
-
Shop at the Sidewalk Produce Stand to explore shape, sorting, weighing, and counting with fruits and vegetables and role play as the customer or salesperson.
-
Take a vacation to the country and visit the Farm to care for the animals and explore cause and effect using wind power, windsocks, and whirligigs!
-
Hug a full-size Curious George in the City Park. Babies and toddlers will especially enjoy the Park’s busywall activities.
- Visit the Museum Within the Museum to learn more about Curious George and the original manuscript’s daring escape from Europe during WWII.
