Tree Tapping & Forage Tea at The New Weis Center for Education, Arts & Recreation

Let’s kick off Maple Sugaring season with this fun behind the scenes program! Come help our senior educators ID the perfect trees, drill the holes, set the spiles, and hang the buckets to prepare for this annual winter tradition. Afterwards we will forage for ingredients and make tea, and talk about the power and benefits of our local evergreens. Note: this is a special 1-time opportunity to join our educators as they setup for our maple sugaring programs and help make and try some evergreen needle tea. We also offer traditional maple sugaring program which includes a short winter tree walk, evaporator, and syrup tasting, see the other maple sugaring events below.

  • Ages 5 to adult
  • Dress appropriately as the program will be held outdoors
  • $10 per person
  • Register through our website!
