New Jersey Boardwalks are Heating up this Summer

Drive down the Garden State Parkway (GSP) or take NJ Transit to visit New Jersey's most famous boardwalks. There are plenty of them dotted along the Jersey Shore with so many things to do. Order up a soft serve ice cream cone, try your hand at winning a stuffed animal, bite into a sugar coated funnel cake, take a ride on a carousel, listen to a summer concert or watch a movie under the stars. Amusement parks down in Ocean City and Jenkinson’s are a shore hit for the kids. Families can visit the lights at night in Atlantic City, Seaside Heights, Wildwood and more!

Long Branch Boardwalk & Pier Village

The Long Branch Boardwalk is almost 2 miles long with scenic views of the ocean, perfect for quiet strolls. Family Fun Night 2023 every Sunday through labor day at Pier Village - visit the arcade and Boardwalk Fun N’ Games, check out Festival Plaza for miniature golf, rockwall climbing, trampoline jumping. Jenkinson’s Boardwalk at Point Pleasant

The kid friendly one mile Point Pleasant boardwalk features Jenkinson’s Aquarium and Jenkinson’s Amusement Park. You can reach Point Pleasant from most parts of New Jersey, making it a great day trip. Arcades, mini-golf, candy shops, and food are a big hit.  Free programs, events, and activities are offered at Jenkinson's throughout the summer. 300 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ (GSP exit 98S or exit 90N).

Asbury Park Boardwalk

Asbury Park’s boardwalk is lined with unique shops, eclectic restaurants, arcades and cafes. It’s a historic shore town known for its sandy shore, ongoing development, music and art scene. Shopping, cafes and dining are all nearby. 1300 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park, NJ (GSP exit 98).

Belmar Boardwalk

The Belmar Boardwalk is a great place to visit and enjoy the attractions, shops, children's playgrounds, and eateries. Ocean Ave from 1st to 20th Ave, Belmar NJ (GSP exit 98).

Spring Lake Boardwalk

Spring Lake’s non-commercial & wide stroller friendly boardwalk along the beach seems to go on for miles. Take in the local sites, homes, and surroundings. Ocean Ave, Spring Lake, NJ (GSP exit 98).

Seaside Heights Boardwalk

Stretching almost 2 miles from end to end, the Seaside Heights boardwalk is filled with fun family activities, amusement rides at Casino Pier, arcades, Breakwater Beach Waterpark, Go-Karts, mini-golf, music, restaurants, ice cream shops, and more! 410 Boardwalk, Seaside Heights, NJ (GSP exit 82).

Atlantic City Boardwalk

Explore New Jersey's world famous Atlantic City Boardwalk day or night. As one of America’s most iconic boardwalks, this tourist attraction features a lively 4 mile walk along the water. Check out Steel Pier Amusement & Theme Park with kiddie and adult rides, big Ferris wheel, miniature golf, carousel, arcades, shopping, and restaurants. Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ (GSP exit 36).

Ocean City Boardwalk

Known as “The Boards” - venture out for some family fun on the 2.5 mile boardwalk at Ocean City. This boardwalk is super child friendly with arcades, mini-golf, candy stores, go-karts, and two amusement parks: Gillian’s Wonderland Pier and Playland’s Castaway Cove (look for the pirate ship). With an alcohol free vibe, it makes Ocean City as wonderful family beach destination. There are Free family nights every Thursday in July & August with family friendly entertainment. During high summer season, daily biking allowed on boardwalk until noon. Ocean City, NJ (GSP exit 30N or exit 25S).

Sea Isle City Promenade

Paved walkway almost 1.5 miles long. This promenade is a wonderful place to take a leisure stroll with the kids. Limited biking allowed during summer season. 29th to 57th Street, Sea Isle City, NJ (GSP exit 17S).

Wildwood Boardwalk

Spend some time this summer at Wildwoods and Wildwood Crest. Experience 38 blocks of classic boardwalk fun, along with 5 miles of free beach access. Walk it or ride aboard a Sightseer Tram Car. Morey’s Piers has over 100 amusement rides, water rides & attractions, arcades, shops, eateries, and more! Ride your bike on the boardwalk from 5am-noon. Wildwood, NJ (GSP exit 4N or exit 4B-S).

Cape May Promenade

Walk along Cape May's beautiful paved 2-mile promenade with spectacular ocean views. Small shops, quaint candy stores, arcades, and ice cream. Biking allowed from 4am to 10am. Beach Ave, Cape May, NJ (GSP exit 0).
