The Capital Region's hometown fair features midway rides, the Royal Hanneford Circus, racing pigs, animal barns, live music, Rhonda's Reptiles, a demolition derby, rodeo, lumberjack show, roaming kids' characters, livestock shows, exhibits, fair food and more.

Admission: $10 Aug. 12; $15 Aug. 13-17; free for ages 10 & younger; free Wednesday (with ID) for ages 65+, Grange members, active military & veterans. Visit Altamont Fair for ride prices. Fair gates open at noon Aug. 12 and 10 am Aug. 13-17. Midway hours: 2-10 pm Aug. 12, noon-10 pm Aug. 13-14, noon-11 pm Aug. 15-16, noon-8 pm Aug. 17
