Kids Arts Lab - Winter 2023 at Appel Farm Arts and Music Center

8-Week engaging arts opportunities for kids in grades K - 8th! Classes run from the week of January 23rd-March 20th.

Experiential Arts Lab | $100 (Grades K – 4)

Students immerse themselves in a creative community, exploring various forms of artistic enrichment including dance and movement, music and sound, and visual arts.

Role Playing Games: Invent a World | $100 (Grades 4-8)

Students will use the guidelines of tabletop role-playing games to create characters, build worlds, and tell collaborative stories.

EcoArt | $100 (Grades 4-8)

Participants will dive into artmaking techniques with natural materials, practice botanical illustration, and work together on improvements to our organic garden.

Rock Band | $120 (Grades 4-8)

Recommended for students with at least one year of experience on their chosen instrument, this class will give students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of playing in a rock band, develop skills, and explore their favorite music.

Functional Ceramics | $160 (Grades 4-8)

Participants will learn the basics of hand-building, wheel throwing, or use a combination of techniques. 

Triple Threat | $120 (Grades 4-8)

Students will learn the fundamentals of a musical theater performance, developing their skills in acting, dance, and vocal performance.

Sculptural Ceramics  | $160 (Grades 4-8)

Students will learn techniques used by humans to make art for thousands of years and will create fantastical sculptures and decorative pieces as unique as they are.
