Vietnam Era Museum 1 Memorial Lane, Holmdel, NJ 07733
Keynote Speaker Dr. Roger Harris is a Marine who served in Vietnam and is featured in the Ken Burns documentary The Vietnam War. After serving, he became a teacher in South Boston and the founder and superintendent of Boston Renaissance Charter Public School. One of the panels will be led by the Vietnamese Boat People podcast founder Tracey Nguyen Mang and Ann Kelsey, a librarian in Vietnam with Army Special Services, on the role of women in Vietnam. Another panel, Vets on Video, features tour guides discussing the good, bad, and ugly surrounding Vietnam War-era films. Educators may register for the clinic. Attending teachers will receive 8.5 hours of professional development credit.
