Harcourt School Publishers - The Learning Site (1 – 5) A site that blends interactive learning for kids in grades K-8 with resources for teachers and parents - all to complement Harcourt School publications. Resources and games on Reading, Language Arts, and Spelling.

Into the Book!  A reading comprehension multimedia resource for elementary students. Provide engaging reading comprehension activities in English and Spanish. Short, 15-minute videos are included to teach important reading strategies like visualization and summarizing.

IXL (Pre K - H.S)  Aligned with Common Core Standards, IXL Worldwide is a dynamic, immersive website offering adaptive learning. From Pre-K through senior year, IXL will provide fun exercises for language arts. Children remain motivated by earning awards.

Reading Rockets  There is an extensive library of lessons centered on fluency, oral language, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, and other literacy skills. Children can also incite their passion for reading with themed booklists, such “Young Detectives.”

SoftSchools.com (K – HS) Provides free worksheet and games on grammar, vocabulary, spelling, phonics, word search maker. Literature terms quizzes and worksheets.

Starfall (Pre-K – 3) A free public service to teach children to read with phonics. The systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.

Storyline Online An excellent resource for children with learning disabilities like dyslexia. This website records free videos of narrators, and sometimes well-known actors like Eva Longoria, reading children’s books aloud. Students develop their literacy skills by following along with text as the literature comes alive.

All The Trivia - All The Trivia has fun trivia quizzes for kids on a few different topics including animals, geography, Harry Potter, and Disney movies. All The Trivia was created with the goal of creating a large collection of fun and 100% free trivia quizzes. The site currently has 25 trivia quizzes and a database of over 1,500 trivia questions.
