Junior Gardeners at Duke Farms
Have you ever wondered about where your veggies come from? Maybe you thought about planting a garden but you don’t know how to get started. Become a Junior Gardener and you will learn that growing your own veggies is easy and fun and they taste delicious!
Duke Farms Garden Educators will show our junior gardeners how to take care of the soil, grow and harvest veggies such as sugar peas, sweet carrots, colorful lettuces and plump Jersey tomatoes and then taste the food that we are growing! This “seed to fork” experience will surely make a lasting impression on your junior gardener. Classes take place outdoors in the Duke Farms Community Garden.
