NJIT Hillier College of Architecture and Design Summer Programs
Spend part of your summer at NJIT’s Hillier College of Architecture and Design, where high school students explore how creativity and STEM come together to shape the spaces, products, and experiences of tomorrow. Designed for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors, our Career Exploration Summer Programs immerse you in a collaborative design studio, build your confidence, and help you take ownership of your creative work. You’ll experiment with drawing, model-making, digital tools, and field research while building a strong sense of community with fellow students and faculty mentors. No previous design experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Choose from focused one- and two-week sessions tailored to your interests, including Introduction to Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial and Design, Video Game Design, and a Portfolio Building Workshop. Each program blends hands-on projects with field trips, professional software, and critiques that mirror a real college design studio, and every student finishes with work ready for portfolio submissions and future college applications. Whether you want to imagine new buildings, craft innovative products, design immersive interiors, or bring game worlds to life, you’ll leave with sharper skills, a clearer sense of possible design careers, and a powerful head start on your future.
