YMCA Sleepaway Camp Experience 

Camp Michikamau is a sleepaway camp located in Harriman State Park, NY, on Lake Kanawauke and it provides a balance of structured, cabin group and choice activities. For the first week, every camper gets to try out every activity in the camp. Daily swimming lessons are offered. During the second week of camp, campers get to choose an activity area. Every day there is “leisure time" where campers can choose fun activities - boating, swimming, sports, relaxing, etc. Night time fun offers activities such as casino night, dance, scavenger hunt, gold rush, talent show or campfire. Each weekend has a different theme and the entire camp get involved in various activities ranging from international weekend, survivor weekend, and color wars.

All campers are housed in wooden cabins, ten to a cabin along with two counselors. Campers are assigned cabin groups base on age. So come join in the fun this summer at Camp Michikamau, part of the Greater Bergen County YMCA. Camp runs June 26 - August 25, 2023 for children entering 3rd-10th grades. Registration is open.
