June Bugs
Location: Geyer Family YMCA, 159 Glenridge Ave. Montclair
Ages: 3-6 years

What: June Bugs "bridges the gap" between preschool ending and summer beginning. It includes fun activities to keep your child active and learning, include daily swimming, art, gym and outdoor time. To further enhance each camper's experience, "specials enrichment" classes such as music, dance and cooking will be added throughout the week.

Session Dates: June 2-June 19 (Mon thru Thurs 4 days a week for 3 weeks)
Hours: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Cost: $160 per session for Members, $180 per session for Non-Members

Early Adventures Camp
Location: Geyer Family Branch, YMCA of Montclair, 159 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair
Ages: Ages: 3-6 years

What: Early Adventures Camp offers children a safe, fun and creative first time camp experience. Activities include swim lessons, gym activities, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, dance and special events created around weekly themes.

Session Dates: June 23-August 29 (no camp July 4)

Hours: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Cost: Members $185 per session Non Members $205  (Session 2 $148/$164)

After Care: 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.: additional fee of $80 per session (Session 2, $64)
Before Care: 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.: additional fee of $30 per session (Session 2, $24)

New Discoveries Camp
Location: Montclair Community Pre-K, 49 Orange Road, Montclair
Ages: 4-9 years

What: New Discoveries Camp offers daily activities, including swim, sports, arts and crafts, drama and science. All weeks are theme-based and include special event Fridays, such as Wacky Wild West, Carnival Day and Olympic Hoopla. Monday camp opening includes skits and an introduction to the week ahead. Wacky Wednesdays include Crazy Hat Day, Mismatch Day and Crazy Hair Day. Before and after camp care are available.

Session Dates: June 23-August 22 (9 one-week sessions, no camp July 4)

Hours: 9:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Cost: $250 per session

Before Camp Hours: 7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.: additional fee of $70 per session
After Camp Hours: 3:15 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: additional fee of $95 per session

Performing Arts, Creative Arts and Sciences Afternoon Camps
Location:
Geyer Family Branch, YMCA of Montclair, 159 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair

Ages: 4-6 years

What: Kids will have fun while learning in these jam-packed one-week sessions. Campers learn skills in different performing arts disciplines like ballet, hip hop, acting and singing. We also have Fashion, Space, Building and Science camps!

Session Dates: June 30 -August 29 (9 one-week sessions)

Hours: 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Cost: $150 per session Non-members $170 (Session 2, $120/$136  no camp July 4)

YMCA MontclairCamp at the Lake
Location: YMCA of Montclair Outdoor Education facility in West Milford
Ages: 5-13 years

What: Camp at the Lake offers swim lessons, sports, crafts, nature, science, outdoor survival skills, hiking, archery, recreational swimming, low ropes challenge, drama, dance, boating and fishing. This American Camp Association accredited camp provides children with exciting adventures, cooperative learning and tons of fun! Campers express their creativity, unleash their boundless energy, learn new skills and develop meaningful relationships. FREE transportation provided from bus stops in Montclair, Upper Montclair, Verona, Cedar Grove, Bloomfield and Clifton.

Session Dates: June 23- August 29 (no camp July 4)

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Cost:

  • Traditional Camp for 5-13 years: $255-$285 per session
  • Sports Camps (Basketball, Soccer, Sports Fan Club) for 8-13 years: $255-$285 per session
  • Specialty Camps (Creative Arts, Performing Arts, Dance, Science and Outdoor Living Skills) for 8-13 years: $265-$295 per session
  • Adventure Camp for 10-13 years: $300-$330 per session

After Camp Hours: 3:45 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: additional fee of $90 per session

Academic Camp Experience (A.C.E.)
Location: YMCA of Montclair, 25 Park St. Montclair
Ages: 7-9 years old

What: Research shows that the key to stemming summer reading loss is finding novel ways to get books into the hands of children during the summer break. A.C.E., a summer education alignment program, helps keep kids on track with reading, writing and math skills and includes DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). The program is lead by an Elementary Education certified teacher. Students bring lunch and a drink, we provide the rest.

Session Dates: July 7-August 31 Monday thru Thursday (4 days a week for 4 weeks)
Hours: 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Cost: $150 per session

Summer Sparks : Enrichment Camp
Location: Forest Avenue School, Verona NJ
Ages: 6-9

What:  Campers choice : pick one or pick two!
It's your child's choice of morning or afternoon sessions or sign up for a full day of sessions.

Enrichment activities change weekly.  New ones are added or favorite ones continued.  

Summer Sparks programs are all hands on as well as highly interactive.  Program examples are science, writing, social skills, building, drama, music, and so much more. All classes taught by educators from our communities with experience in specific areas.  All supplies provided for each program.

Session Dates: 7 ONE WEEK SESSIONS  JUNE 23-AUGUST  8
Hours: 8:30am-12:30 and/or 1:00- 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $130 per weekly morning or afternoon session $260 for full days

Youth Basketball All Stars (YBA) Camp
Location: Gymnasium at Immaculate Conception High School, 33 Cottage Place, Montclair
Ages: 8-13 years

What: Camp Youth Basketball All Stars (YBA) is the perfect place for your camper. YBA is an intense four week basketball program for basketball players of varying abilities. YBA campers further develop their skills, learn game strategies and achieve goals on and off the court. Each day is spent improving fundamentals, performing interactive drills, building offensive and defensive skills, playing in house tournaments and getting in shape. Campers may register for one or all four weeks of the program.

Session Dates: July 7-August 1
Hours: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Cost: $220 per session
After Camp Hours: 3 p.m.-6 p.m.: additional fee of $45 per session

Teen Travel Camp
Location: Park Street Branch, YMCA of Montclair, 25 Park Street, Montclair
Ages: 13-15 years

What: Teen Travel Camp is the place where teens can participate in leadership workshops, discuss social and cultural awareness, perform community service projects and go on thrilling excursions. Participation during in house days is required in order to participate in field trips. Trained adult staff maintain a high level of safety, fun and mentoring for all participants. Day trip opportunities may include, but are not limited to, Six Flags Amusement Park, Local College Tours, the Statue of Liberty, SONY Wonder Lab, Ellis Island, bowling and movies.

Session Dates: June 30-August 22
(8 one-week sessions, no camp July 4)

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. or later, depending on trip destination

Cost: $300 per session

Counselor in Training (CIT) Program
Location: YMCA of Montclair Outdoor Education Center
Ages: 14-15 years

What: Our CIT Program is a unique opportunity to develop skills necessary for working with children in a hands-on environment. CITs are involved in daily activities, assisting our staff with camp projects, camper activities, lesson plans and more. CITs develop communication and leadership skills through team-building exercises, hands-on training with senior counselors and experiences with camper groups and activities. A CIT Director facilitates this program and, along with all of our Camp at the Lake staff, mentors the CITs throughout this two week program.

Session Dates: June 30-July 11, July 21-August 1 & August 11-August 22
(no camp July 4)

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $495/$525 per session (Session 2/3 $445/$495)
