Dance has a way of building confidence that lasts a lifetime. Owner and Artistic Director Julie Otani is entering Turning Pointe Dance Center’s 33rd season as a leader in dance education, continuing a long tradition of inspiring dancers through expert instruction, creativity, and a genuine passion for the art of dance.

Together with her dedicated staff, Julie creates a warm and encouraging environment where students are supported as they explore their creativity, develop confidence, and discover a lasting love of dance.

Dancers Ages 2 through 18

Turning Pointe Dance Center welcomes dancers ages 2 through 18 for the 2026–2027 season, with classes designed for every age and experience level — from those taking their very first steps to dancers pursuing advanced training.

The youngest dancers can begin with Little Movers, specially designed for ages 2–3. As students grow, they can explore a wide variety of dance styles, including combination classes, ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, acrobatics, contemporary, modern, musical theater, and pointe.

Throughout the season, students will experience classes filled with energy, expert instruction, and plenty of opportunities to grow. Students build technique, explore new styles, express their creativity, gain confidence, and most importantly, have fun along the way.

Competition Dance Team

For dancers ready to take their training and performance experience to the next level, Turning Pointe is also home to an award-winning Competition Dance Team.

Entering Season 33, Turning Pointe's competitive dancers continue a tradition of commitment, passion, teamwork, and excellence, representing the studio on stages throughout the region and beyond. With a strong focus on both technical training and artistic development, the team gives dedicated dancers with opportunities to challenge themselves, perform, build friendships, and grow both as dancers and individuals.

All-Abilities Dance Program

Turning Pointe is also proud to continue its All-Abilities Dance program, designed for the neurodiverse community. This welcoming, adaptive program provides a supportive space where dancers can discover the joy of movement and music together. Classes are led by Dr. Valerie Sobol, OTD, OTR/L.

There’s a place for every dancer at Turning Pointe Dance Center. Whether your child is stepping into the studio for the first time or looking to take their training to the next level, Turning Pointe offers a supportive community where dancer can learn, grow, make friends and discover where your passion can take them.
