Themed Art Project Every Week at The Newark Museum of Art

6 Weeks of Quality Art & Science Instruction

The Newark Museum of Art is offering campers aged 3 to 14 project-based learning in arts and sciences while building community, making great friends and wonderful memories. Each week includes artmaking, science experiments, maker space, planetarium time, yoga, and music and movement, as well as Friday team-building games and activities.

This year the themes are as follows:
Week 1 - Darkness of the rainforest, deep underground and oceans
Week 2 - Patterns in the natural world
Week 3 - Reduce, reuse and recycle
Week 4 - Space trailblazers
Week 5 - Art is all around us
Week 6 - Swoosh! Swish! Splat! Embracing the messiness of creating

Each age-group’s day will be slightly different, but everyone will participate in art workshops, gallery tours, science activities, planetarium time and performance art classes every day. There will also be special events to enjoy including a Friends and Family Performance Showcase and/or Exhibition on alternating Friday afternoons.
