Family Friendly Movies Coming Soon to Theaters

Spend Quality Time with Your Loved Ones at the Cinema

Most recently, there have been exceptional new movies in the theaters like Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Shazam! Fury of God!, and The Super Mario Brothers Movie, but that’s not all - there are more great movies anticipated for release soon.

Here is a list of upcoming family-friendly movies we’re excited about:

1, Are you There God? It’s Me, Margaret! - Release Date: April 28th. Adapted from the Judy Blume Book, this movie is about 6th grader Margaret Simon who tries to navigate through the trials and tribulations of growing up.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. III - Release Date: May 4th. We are so excited to see this third installment of the Guardians movies. In this one, everyone will be mourning the loss of Gamora and will do their best to save the universe without her.

3. Fast and Furious X  - Release Date: May 19th. Another movie we are looking forward to seeing - this is the final movie in the Fast and Furious franchise and we can not wait to see how it will all end. This movie is for slightly older children as it is PG13. Here, Dom and “his family” will try to outsmart one last foe as this threat emerges from his past to destroy all that he loves and worked for.

4. The Little Mermaid - Release Date: May 26th. A new version of the original 1989 animated film with some songs written by Hamilton’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

5. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Release Date: June 2nd. The second installment of this series of great movies. Brooklyn teen, Miles Morales, gets transported to the Multiverse, where he finds himself battling other “Spiders” to save everyone he cares about.

6. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - Release Date: June 9th. Another opportunity to see vehicles turn into robots - who could ask for anything more?

7. Elemental  - Release Date: June 16th. Pixar movie that seems to be similar to Inside Out except, this time, the characters are elements like land, air, fire, and water. Slated to be a fun movie where “opposites react”!

8. Harold and The Purple Crayon  - Release Date: June 30th. Based on Crockett Johnson’s classic children’s book, follow young Harold as he creates a magical world with his purple crayon.

9. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Release Date: June 30th.The 5th and final adventure about archeologist and explorer Indiana Jones. In this movie, Indiana will be fighting ex-Nazis who are now running the moon-landing program.

10. Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles: Mutant Mayhem - Release Date: August 4th. Watch Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo as these Turtles in a Half-Shell battle a criminal army of mutants.
