England comes to life as the Historic Village of Smithville is transformed into the Shire of Smithville, celebrating the heart of the English Renaissance. The good Duke of Northumberland has decreed merriment for all! This family-friendly event features comedy, tragedy, sword fighting, dance, song, knights, jesters, and much more. Stroll among the wares of local vendors and traveling merchants offering historically inspired gifts and finely crafted items. Join the players of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire and journey back to the days of yore and merry Olde England.

Historic Smithville offers 60 shoppes, 7 eateries, a carousel and train ride, paddle boats, and an arcade. On-site lodging is available at the Colonial Inn, along with over 26 free weekend events throughout the year.
