Found with an arrow shot to his back, Ötzi’s mummified remains have become a time capsule of the Copper Age. But his body held other secrets, too. Forensic analysis revealed that despite his natural, prehistoric diet, Ötzi suffered from hardened arteries and battled Lyme disease—conditions we once thought were strictly modern.

Join us for a forensic deep-dive into this ancient cold case. By combining history and high-tech science, we will attempt to reconstruct the Iceman’s final days.

Junior Detectives will:

• Investigate a 3D model of the mummy to find physical clues.

• Simulate the scientific collaboration used to crack the case.

• Analyze evidence from different research fields to solve the mysteries of Ötzi’s life and death.

Ages 10–13. One adult chaperone is required per child. Chaperones must purchase tickets and participate fully in all investigative activities.
