Read and Explore: Getting Ready for Spring at Terhune Orchards
Terhune Orchards’ Read and Explore Program is a winter education series designed to engage young learners through stories, hands-on activities, and seasonal farm learning. The program follows the popular Read and Pick Program. This Read and Explore session focuses on Getting Ready for Spring, helping young participants transition from winter into the excitement of a new growing season. As Saint Patrick’s Day is the traditional day to plant peas and spinach and get the garden ready! The program lasts about an hour and includes a story and educational segment. After story time, each child will plant seeds to take home.
