Welcome to a Girls only Sleepaway Camp!

Camp Hoover has been creating life-changing experiences since 1953. Nestled within 340 acres of forests, hills, and a tranquil lakefront in Middleville, it offers campers in first through 12th grade opportunities to embrace independence, build friendships, and connect with nature. Campers enjoy activities like horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, and STEM programs, fostering growth and discovery in a supportive environment. Whether developing new skills or conquering fears, every moment at Camp Hoover reflects Girl Scout values, inspiring confidence, resilience, and lifelong memories. It’s a place where young people expand their horizons and experience the transformative power of the outdoors. For campers entering 1st grade through 12th grade.

Daily Schedule:
7:50 AM - Flag
8:00 AM- Breakfast
8:45 AM- Kapers
9:30 AM - Program/Unit Time
12:30 PM - Lunch
1:30 PM - Program/Unit Time
6:30 PM - Dinner
7:30 PM - All camp activity or unit time
9:30 PM - Bedtime

Camp Program Highlights include:

Engineering Explorers - Become a real-world inventor as you design and build a crane, a paddle boat, and a balloon car. Discover how force, motion, and energy make things move while exploring simple machines. Use your creativity and problem-solving skills.

Girl on Fire - Hone your outdoor survival skills with activities like self-defense, archery, first-aid, shelter-building, lake exploration, and foraging for edible plants. Take on exciting challenges as you perfect fire-building and whittling techniques.

Create It - Let your creativity run wild. Spend your days exploring different artistic mediums. Start by molding and playing with clay - craft a simple pot, then make it unique with paint and glaze. Paint from the dock by the waterfront, create art on pallets and have a blast with some "art" cherry fun.
