A STEAM Learning Center for Kids in Fort Lee, NJ

The R Child is your neighborhood's super power STEAM center. Our mission is to help parents uncover their kids’ passion for STEM. We take an innovative approach to education, introducing STEAM at an early age. The center offers a variety of different activities for kids ages 0 to 16 years old including Discovery Play Center, an indoor STEM playground that offers a novel approach to your child’s playtime, the Learning Center which includes a Montessori-based Early Learning Studio for younger students and a Robotics Lab where elementary and middle school students start with building their first robot and advance to preparing for robotics and coding competitions. Within this 5000-square-foot educational facility in the heart of Fort Lee, it's a place for the whole family to enjoy. Here you can learn, celebrate, discover, and find like-minded families. 

STEAM AND ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMPS

• EXPLORERS STEAM SUMMER CAMP for Preschoolers offers an array of EXCITING ACTIVITIES designed to captivate and engage your curious little one: HANDS-ON STEAM WORKSHOPS, SCIENCE, BIOLOGY, MAKERSPACE, CODING, LEO ENGINEERING, ARTS, MUSIC, and more. 

• STEAM & ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMP for ages 5 - 14 is a great opportunity for kids to try or advance in LEGO or VEX robotics, CODING (Scratch, Python, Minecraft, or Roblox), 3D MODELING with TinkerCad, LASER PRINTING with Glowforge. Other activities such as SCIENCE LABS, MAKERSPACE, and of course ARTS will give your child a fully comprehensive experience. 

• TECHNOLOGY BOOT CAMP  for ages 8-14 is a mix of technology and STEAM classes that we offer. Register ahead or drop in last-minute to have fun and learn. Throughout the day kids are offered Robotics, 3-D Printing, YouTube Creator, Game Design, and Minecraft.

Robotics Competitions

Through the year THE R CHILD's robotics teams participate different local and international competitions such as Vex Robotics and FIRST LEGO League for elementary and middle school students. Kids apply their knowledge to build open-ended projects, solve real-world problems, and complete challenges.
