 Did You Say Free?  NJ Kids Has Loads Of Free And Fabulous Events

Have fun venturing through New Jersey and discovering all sorts of fun, from animal encounters, outdoor hikes, and walks and 5K runs, to parks and playgrounds and festivals and fairs.  Take the family on a day trip, and venture out and explore other areas of Jersey.  Enjoy the beginnings of Summer with these Free and Fabulous ideas.  Make it a family outing.

Kasschau Memorial Shell Concert Series

West Orange Street Fair
June 7, 11am-7pm.   211 Main Street, West Orange, NJ.
Great food and fun activities for the whole family. Full day of live entertainment planned including bands, dancing, comedy and more.

Asbury Park Blues and Brews Festival
June 7, 12-8pm.  Bradley Park, 5th & Ocean Aves, Asbury Park, NJ
Join the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation for live performances by talented blues musicians, food, crafter and sponsor exhibits, an Alex and Ani Hospitality Tent, and activities for the entire family.

Wayne Day Festival
June 8.  Wayne Municipal Complex, Lincoln Park, Wayne
Wayne Day is a day of fun and entertainment. Children’s’ Carnival Rides, Free pony rides and a petting zoo. The Lizard Guy will be here - lots of reptiles! Great Scott the Magician and much more. Musical entertainment

2nd Annual Bike Livingston
JUne 8, 9am-12pm. 321 S. Livingston Ave, Livingston, NJ
Join us on June 8th for the Second Annual Bike Livingston, a family-oriented bike tour through some of our town’s beautiful neighborhoods.  Entertainment provide after the ride by the Amazo Magic and Fitness Show.

Wakl2stop Bullying
June 8, 9am-12pm.  The College of New Jersey, 2000 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
Starting at the Brower Student Center, we will walk around a safe and easy 2-mile loop on the campus of TCNJ. There will be entertainment, as well as food and beverages. Tours of the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum will be given after the walk.  Free food & beverages will be available.  Music and Kids Activities: entertainment will include DJ, Face Painter, Kids' Build activity from Home Depot, Kids' games, and much more!

Colonial SpringFest
June 8, 11am-4pm.  3055 River Road, River Road Park, Bedminster, NJ.
Musical performances, a range of craftspeople, including potter John Gamble of Somerset, NJ, and scrimshaw artist Samuel Sinelnikov of Flemington, will give demonstrations and sell their wares. Colonial-period games will be available for children and the Jacobus Vanderveer House will be open for tours.  Visitors are encouraged to bring their food in a recyclable basket or container, along with a blanket or lawn chairs.

Family Woodland Hike at New Jersey Botanical Gardens

An easy, child-friendly hike in the Garden's woodlands where you'll learn a bit about the plants, animals and geology around you in a hike designed to fit the group.  FREE.

StoryWalk® Outdoor Exhibit @ Tenafly Nature Center

Calling all nature lovers who love books! StoryWalk® is an interactive outdoor exhibit that turns reading into an adventure along the trails without electronic devices.  Hikers can read a nature-themed story while they walk in the woods.
