Each summer, the Essex County College On-Campus Continuing Education Department opens its doors to children entering grades 1 - 8 as of September. The Summer Youth Program provides not only academic instruction, but recreation, and cultural indoor and outdoor activities. Artistic programs offered include writing, cooking, fine arts, dance, acting, arts & crafts. Breakfast and lunch included.

Fabricland’s Sewing Summer Camp offers nine weeks of classes for fashion and accessories, ages 9-18 with weekly morning and afternoon sessions. Students will learn sewing on a machine and by hand, measuring and cutting skills, along with how to follow pattern directions. Sewing machines are provided in the classroom.

French Woods Sports and Arts Center (FWC) is America’s Top Teen-Only Summer Camp located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State 2.5 hours from New York City.
Campers ages 12-17 have the option of a 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 week session.

Camp College offers your child an enriching alternative to the traditional summer day camp. Campers combine study in a variety of stimulating subject areas that emphasize intellectual growth and skills development with the fun of recreational activities. Participants choose up to six different "courses" for each four-week session. Most courses meet 55 minutes daily for all weeks of each session. We have over 90 courses to choose from! Arts Education at NJPAC offers the best arts summer camp for students ages 10 to 18 where students can immerse themselves in a variety of programs perfecting their skills in performing arts. Students will develop their inner artist by taking classes in dance, acting, musical theater, jazz and hip hop. NJPAC offers program choices that range from one week to five weeks in length. Classes are taught by professional artists and provide students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Summer writing camps students will develop their voices and writing ideas in a generous, creative environment with professional authors as instructors. Each week they’ll choose from two different genres to focus on – fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, sci-fi/fantasy, and more. They’ll focus on their own writing projects as well as new work inspired by creative exercises and prompts. They’ll receive supportive, constructive feedback from instructors and peers. Special excursions, literary inter-activities, and a reading on Fridays for family and friends will round out the week.
