Looking for something fun and fit to do with the kids on Spring Break?  Absecon Lighthouse, normally closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, will be open daily from Thursday, March 26th  through Monday, April 13th  from 11am to 4pm.  The last climb is at 3:30pm.  Go to www.abseconlighthouse.org and print off a special coupon for $1 off admission when you climb.  The museum, grounds, and parking are all free.  Normal business hours will resume on April 16th, with the lighthouse being open Thursdays through Mondays, 11am to 4pm.  First lit in 1857, Absecon Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey and the third tallest in the country.  It is the oldest man-made structure in Atlantic City, boasts a first-order Fresnel lens still in place at the top, and offers fabulous views of Atlantic City and Brigantine.  Admission to climb the 228 steps to the top is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for children 4-12, and $3 for Atlantic City residents.  Active Military are invited to climb for free.  Dogs on leashes are welcome to tour the grounds and museum.

Absecon Lighthouse is a state-owned historic property administered by the non-profit Inlet Public/Private Association. Located at 31 So.
