Family Festival: Sukkot at Please Touch Museum

Family Festival Sukkot: Sunday September 23, 2018

We’re celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot this week by building sukkahs, reflecting on nature, and enjoying the Autumn harvest.

Celebrate Sukkot: Sukkah

11 am – 5 pm

Please Touch Garden, Main Level

All ages with adult caregiver

Stop by the Please Touch Museum Sukkah and celebrate the Season.  Sit in the sukkah, reconnect with nature, and spend time with family and friends.

Discovery Zone: Fall Festival

11 am – 12 pm 

Please Touch Garden, Main Level

*Rain Location: Hamilton Hall

All Ages with adult caregiver

Put on your imagination cap and explore the beauty of fall through props, and dramatic play in our pop up play corner!

Program Room: Sukkot Drawings 

11 am – 3 pm 

Group Rooms 5 and 6, Lower Level

All Ages with adult caregiver

Drop in anytime to create works of art inspired by your trip to the museum. Look closely at the Lulav and Etrog and then grab some colored pencils and sketch what you see.

Live Performance: Yosi Levin

1 – 1:30 pm and 3 – 3:30 pm

Dance, sing, and groove along to festive music as Yosi celebrates Sukkot!

Meet the Holidays Storytime: Sukkot

1:30- 2 pm

Ages: 3+ with adult caregiver

Get cozy and listen to stories, sing songs, and build literacy skills with stories about Sukkot traditions and celebrations.

Tinker Time: Building with Branches

3pm- 4pm

Groups Rooms 5 and 6, Lower Level

Ages: 4+ with adult caregiver

Stack, pile, build.  Using branches and twigs, make structures inspired by Sukkahs.

Music and Movement

Daily 4:15 – 4:45 PM

All Ages with adult caregiver

Meet us at the Torch to stretch, wiggle, and move your body as we end the day with an exploration of rhythm and movement.
