PRIDE ART BALL II @ Newark Museum

PRIDE ART BALL II  (Doors open at 5 pm for gallery viewing) PRIDE! Celebrate Pride Month ball culture style with an art twist. Witness a mini-ball showcase reinterpreting images from the Museum’s newly reinstalled Seeing America galleries through dance, costumes, drag, and lots of attitude.

Highlights:

•    Test out your wit in a shade vs. reading master class.
•    Learn about the connections between pop art and ball culture history in a multimedia presentation. 
•    LGBTQ-themed drag queen guided gallery tours.
•    Live costume making demonstrations by a ball scene icon.
•    Get fierce by creating your own costumes inspired by the Museum’s collection.
