The JCC is a great place for children, teens and adults with special needs to grow and learn invaluable life skills in year-round programs as well as summer camps. Mainstreaming and inclusion opportunities are provided where appropriate.

The Guttenberg Center for Special Services offers life skills, vocational programs and summer camps for individuals with developmental disabilities and classes for children and teens with autistic spectrum disorders, as well as developmental, learning and communication disorders.

Our Therapeutic Nursery is a unique program for 2-to-5-year-old preschool children specializing in language disorders, emotional disturbances (including selective mutism), learning disabilities, attention deficits, or autistic behaviors. Students are helped to transition into mainstream settings at school, home, and the community.

The Neil Klatskin Day Camp Tikvah division is designed for 5-15-year olds who have been classified with mild neurological and/or perceptual impairment. Programming includes academic remediation, sports, Tae kwon do, swim, music, art, trips, theme days and more.  (June 29-Aug 21, 2015, 9 am-4 pm)

New participants require intake interview. JCC membership not required. The JCC is a qualified provider of the NJ Department of Human Services Division Children & Families (DCF)/Perform Care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Payments are accepted from other service agency providers as well as sending school districts.
