Arthur Chambres Park

Colonial Park

Located near the Delaware and Raritan Canal, his park has a variety of features and activities for visitors. This 658 acre park features a 1.4 mile fitness parcourse, fishing, softball field, the Lois Howe Nature Trail and picnic areas. The Morgan Pellowski Playground is full of fun things to do for children. Located inside the park is the 18 hole Spooky Brook Golf Course. The park is also available for ice skating and cross country skiing during the winter.

Duke Island Park

This 343 acre park is home to many outdoor activities. Duke Island Park has many bike trails, picnic areas, a softball field, fishing in the Raritan River, a playground, walking and hiking trails and a Visitors Center. Ice skating and cross country skiing are offered when weather permits.

Inman Park

Kidstreet Playground

Kidstreet Playground is chock full of fun for children of all ages. There are various wooden play structures, swings, climbing structures, sand box play, zip lines, bathrooms, picnic tables and vending machines.

Lord Stirling Park and Environmental Education Center

Lord Stirling Park, in Bernards Township, encompasses 990 acres. It features the Lord Stirling Stable which has full programs for horseback riding instruction. A 14 mile trail system is designed solely for horseback riding. There are also indoor and outdoor arenas that may be rented. The EEC has a 9 mile trail for walking, hiking and bike riding. The building has an auditorium, nature art gallery with temporary exhibits throughout the year, a gift shop and a library. Educational camps are held in the summer and during vacation breaks. The EEC specifically features information about the Great Swamp, as the Lord Stirling Park is situated on the western side of the Swamp.

Michael Lepp Park

Middlebush Park

The Veterans Park features a 9-11 Memorial and cross country trails. There is also a playground, sand area, picnic area, pavilion, restrooms, basketball and volleyball courts and softball fields. The Montgomery Arboretum is a natural area within the park that has wetlands, a trail, playground, picnic tables and a concession stand. Visitors can bird watch, hike, jog or go bicycling.

Mountain View Park

The newest park in Somerset County, Mountain View, was created in 2017. The park features youth and adult baseball fields, a special needs baseball field, a playground, pavilion, concession facility and multi-use trail.

North Branch Park

The North Branch Park is home to the Somerset County Park Commission. The 185 acre park features two picnic areas, softball fields, tables, grills, fishing locations, a lighted soccer field, a flying field for model aircraft and two horse show rings.

Rainbowland Playground

This fully handicap accessible playground has many features. It is located at the Midland School and is open to the community as well as students. It includes swings, slides, a sandbox and many other structures.

Torpey Athletic Complex

The Complex is located on the north side of the Raritan River. It features a lighted grass baseball field, lighted grass softball field and lighted state-of-the-art synthetic turf multi-purpose athletic field. There is also a building for public and employee use with attached bleachers for athletic games. The building includes team locker rooms, bathrooms, a concession area and more.
