Festivals and Fairs in NJ

Nothing says summer fun better than going out with the whole family to a local fair or festival.  Whether you are looking for amusement rides, music, children’s activities, fireworks, or delicious food, the list below will give you a great place to start.  There is one almost every day in July!  Mark your calendars now.  It’s time to head out, bring the kids and be sure to let us know which ones are your favorites.

18th Annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival - Tuesday Evenings in July and August, 7-9pm.
Every Tuesday evening in July and August (with Wednesday night rain dates) from 7pm to 9pm, throughout the downtown. We are planning nine nights of Jazz this year.  Downtown Westfield.

Randolph Freedom Festival – July 3-5, 12-11pm.
County College of Morris, Center Grove Rd off Rte 10, Randolph
Featuring the best fireworks show in the county plus a parade, games, food, bands, rides, attractions, arts & crafts and much, much more!   Grove Road off Route 10, Randolph.

Ocean County Fair – July 8 – 13
Robert J. Miller Airpark, Rte 530 Berkeley
4-H events, animals shows and exhibits, rides, amusements, racing pigs, home and garden competitions

Colts Neck Fair – July 10 – 13
The original ride vendor has returned to this year’s Colts Neck Fair.
The Fair spans four days/nights so be sure to plan at least one visit to the Fair as a celebration of summer.

Brick Fest Live Lego Fan Festival in Secaucus – July 11-13

Brick Fest Live LEGO Fan Festival provides a venue for LEGO lovers of all sizes to come celebrate their mutual affection, build new creations, and see some truly awesome LEGO sculptures.

City of Water Day - July 12.
A FREE day of entertainment, education & adventure celebrating the potential of our waterfront!   FREE: narrated boat tours, ferry transit between Maxwell Park and Governors Island, kayaking, paddle-boarding, Cardboard Kayak Race, fishing, the Waterfront Activity Fair, special children’s activities, live music, and more! Point Pleasant Jazz and Blues Festival – July 19
Riverfront Park, River Rd., Point Pleasant Borough
Join the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation for live performances by talented jazz and blues musicians, food, crafter and sponsor exhibits, Lagunitas Craft Beer and Wine Garden, and more.  Rain or shine. Dog friendly.

8th Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival - July 25
The music festival includes entertainers performing Jazz, Gospel, House and Hip-Hop. For children, the festival offers games, storytelling, skateboard, golf and basketball clinics and a host of family oriented activities. The festival also features a healthy lifestyle pavilion with free health screenings, massages, yoga and fresh organic produce.  1071 Broad Street, Newark.

2014 QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning - July 25 – 27
Solberg Airport in Readington
From twice daily mass ascensions of over 100 special shape and sport hot air balloons, to headlining concerts, non-stop family entertainment, hundreds of crafters and vendors, great food, fireworks, a balloon glow, a 5k run and more, the festival is jam-packed with stuff to do.

8th Annual Lincoln PARK Music Festival – July 25-27
Lincoln Park, 1035 – 1071 Broad Street, Newark
A Celebration of Spirit and Dance.  Jazz, Gospel, House and Hip-Hop as well as family oriented activities such as games, storytelling, skateboard, golf and basketball clinics and more. The festival also features a healthy lifestyle pavilion with free health screenings, massages, yoga.

77th Annual Warren County Farmers Fair, featuring the 14th annual Hot Air Balloon Festival
July 26 – Aug 2
1350 Strykers Rd, Phillipsburg
Where else can you thrill to a hot air balloon ride, eat cotton candy on a carnival midway, watch traditional craftsmen at work, get down-and-dirty in a Mud Bog competition, and cheer your neighbor on in a tractor pull... all in the same place?
