Visit The Animals
Take a family safari without ever leaving on a jet plane. Head to a local zoo or aquarium and visit the Savannah plains or the rain forests of Congo or maybe even a penguin nesting ground! Make a day of it - bring a picnic, stroll through the grounds and enjoy the animals or underwater marine life, ride the carousel or train, feed the animals in a children's zoo - there's always so much to see and do! Even better - it's both educational AND fun (but the kids will just think it's fun!). And don't forget to check each site's website - many places offer special events, activities and classes. Enjoy!
